Completing these steps will change a setting in Firefox so that the browser never remembers your history, regardless of whether you are in a regular browsing tab or a private browsing tab. Step 1: Open Firefox. Step 2: Select the Open menu option at the top-right corner of the window.
Step 3: Click Options on this menu.
Step 4: Choose the Privacy & Security tab at the left side of the window.
Step 5: Click the dropdown menu to the right of Firefox will under the History section of the menu, then choose the Never remember history option. Firefox will then prompt you to restart the browser so that these changes can take effect.
As noted on the menu after making this change, Firefox will now use the same settings as private browsing and will not remember any history as you browse the Web. Additionally you may want to click the clear all current history button to delete any of the existing history in your browser from prior to making this change.
